Miss Me with That Amazon Link. 3 Reasons Why Amazon is Not My Vibe.

Seriously.

Miss me with that amazon link.

No, I do not want a gift card to Amazon either.

Amazon is one of My least utilized platforms. I try to avoid supporting that juggernaut as much as possible. I add things to My wishlist and then will usually buy those items from the retailer directly or someplace local. My wishlist is nothing more than a shopping list to be used elsewhere.

Not to say that I have never or will never ever order from Amazon because I absolutely have. I just try to avoid it as much as possible.

The impact felt from Amazon is undeniable.

Amazon has changed the game for so many things. For vendors, for logistics, for consumers, for everything and everyone.

Leaving no stone unturned, Amazon has had an impact like none other. As with anything though, there are always consequences to every action.

Not all consequences are disastrous… but some have every bit of potential to ruin a good thing, like the Earth.

Amazon is trash for the Environment

Environmentalism is one of My strong passions. I care deeply about this one planet that we all share.

Let’s not fuck it up more because we could not take care of it.

(Now that you know that fun fact about Moi, is it really a wonder why I think that men make great bathrooms?)

I would much rather take My time searching for something that has been thrifted or  better quality items than to order fast fashion or mass produced novelties.

Resources are being used up quicker than they can be replenished just to make something, period…but the resources it takes to have it shipped and delivered is astounding!

You know exactly what I’m talking about…

The huge box that shows up on your porch. You pick it up and it’s light as a feather.

You open the box, pulling out endless packaging like you’re performing a magic trick and then finally…you hear it.

Whatever is in the box, is rattling around as it slides from side to side.

A huge ass box that is grossly disproportionate in size to whatever you ordered has ended up at your door.

You mean to tell Me that this world wide logistical powerhouse of a corporation has not implemented a method to cut down on the amount of material used for shipping, but that you also can not organize it more efficiently so that things are getting shipped in the same container instead of multiples?

I don’t buy it.

If you can use data to track purchases and what people may be into, you can establish buying patterns and ship accordingly, better.

It will never be 100% since some things are just out of control, but there is room for serious improvement.

Stop wasting resources, some shit is not renewable.

I can’t stand unnecessary waste.

You get what you paid for?

Online shopping is a gamble.

ESPECIALLY if you are a plus size Woman. Intensify that if your top half is a different size from your bottom half.

As a plus size Woman with an ass that won’t quit, I prefer to see My clothes in person before I commit to buying them.

The last few times I’ve ordered clothing from Amazon, there have been serious issues with sizing.

After taking the time to find the item, read the reviews, check the sizing, there really shouldn’t be an issue with sizing, but it seems to be ongoing.

Not to mention, the clothing is usually….fast fashion.

Aside from being made out of uncomfortable material, fast fashion has to be cleaned a certain way to diminish harmful chemicals that they are made with.
Fast fashion deserves a post of it’s own, but until I write one, enjoy this.

Porch Thieves & Broken Pieces

With job losses and inflation, robbing season is becoming year round.

Recently, an admirer ordered a custom clip from Me.

The uniqueness of angle that was required to shoot demanded a different camera. Just like any good boy, he was more than happy to pay up for it.

I found the camera I wanted, he paid up and I ordered it.

It was shipped fast, because that’s typically what Amazon does right? Ship things fast.

The timing was not perfect and someone yanked My package off of My porch.

An inconvenience, but not the end of the world. I had a replacement that was shipped out afterwards.

This time, it took longer and it FINALLY arrived and you know what?

That fucking camera was broke.

I sent it out again and I’ve just been left waiting.

Not really a fan of being kept waiting, but considering the current state of the world, I’ll wait.

While some of this was out of Amazon’s control, I’m still annoyed.

Looking for a replacement from a local store and with nothing available, your Madame is left practicing patience until it arrives.

C’est la vie.

Amazon, hate the player or hate the game?

I could bitch all day about what I do not like about Amazon and all of My opinions about Bezos.

Regardless of how I feel about Amazon and the ways that it has trained everyone for instant gratification, it has been an absolute blessing for people who endure limitations.

I am able-bodied and live in a city. I can drive Myself to the store and usually get whatever. On-line shopping is not essential for Me. It is just a convenience.

Amazon is a valuable service for those who are not as able-bodied as I am or live in rural areas. Everything has pros, that happens to be a couple for Amazon.

Miss Me with that Amazon Link

Many Dommes swear by their Amazon link and wishlists. You do you. Just because I seldom use it, it does not mean I am going to judge anyone else for using it.

I’m just judging policies that are in place and the people who uphold those policies that continue to let corrupt capitalism run amok while ruining My home, Earth.

So yeah, miss Me with that Amazon link.
